Australian Stock Horse Society USA Branch 2025 Virtual Show

2025 Virtual Show

Entries open October 30th, 2025, and close December 14th, 2025.

Please join the Australian Stock Horse Society USA Branch for its 2nd annual virtual show. Led, hack, and working patterns will be offered. Jenny Petrich and Judi Powell, who are ASHS-accredited judges, will be the judges for the 2025 Virtual Show. Participants will be judged based on the ASHS’s ideal standard of an Australian Stock Horse. Rider/handler must be an ASHS member. Horses in the ASH classes must be registered or in the process of registration, as well as be competition eligible. Horses in the Youth and Open classes do not need to be registered and can also be a different breed. Rider/handler can show as many horses as possible in any class. A horse can only be shown by one rider/handler in its respective age group. If you have questions about eligibility, send an email.

Key Notes

  • Videographer needs to be where the judge stands. It is marked on the patterns.
  • Markers are optional and can be placed where letters are in patterns.
  • Submit videos to the drop box link provided by the ASHS. Will send out the link once its created. Make sure to label video with name of rider and horse as well as the class number.
  • Entries open October 30th and close November 30th.
  • The ASHS Event Rules & Regulations Handbook governs the rules.
    • Additional note – The dress code in the ASHS Rules and Regulations are recommended attire only, so it is flexible. For example, a square cut saddlecloth is required but this does not mean it has to be an ASHS one. The main things to adhere to are the not permitted in the tack and attire section – Section 3: Only exception – Western saddles ARE allowed for our show.

The videos below are not exactly the same patterns that we are using, but they will be a great guide on what the judges are looking for. Also they are an example of how optional markers (cones) are used.
